The FA drew the teams out of the hat for the FA Vase 3rd round this afternoon.
Droitwich Spa will travel to North West Counties League Division 1 South (step 6) side Abbey Hulton United.
The tie will take place on Saturday 7th December (ko 3pm) at United's Drayton Beaumont Park ground in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
In previous rounds, Abbey Hulton defeated Worcester Raiders, Rothwell Corinthians and MFL Premier side Atherstone Town in the 2nd round.
The Staffordshire side's support at home is decent, with crowds averaging at 180 so far this season.
Our opposition currently sit 8th in their Division, the same League as our old MFL adversaries Allscott Heath, Wolves Sporting and Shawbury United.
Interestingly, all three of the aforementioned clubs occupy three of the bottom four positions.
Droitwich are the second highest scorers in the competition with 18 goals so far, just one behind Clay Cross Town, and three of our four Vase games have been away from home to date.
The Saltmen are the only side in Worcestershire, and the only side from the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 remaining in the competition.
Hartpury University, Roman Glass St George and Highworth Town from the Premier Division are also still in the competition
We expect another difficult test in the 3rd round, which is our best ever run in the competition.
More information will be communicated in the weeks leading up to the game.
