Droitwich Spa maintained a 100% home record in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 and a 6-point lead at the top of the table with an awkward 3-1 win over Chipping Sodbury Town.
Injury and unavailability for regular defensive unit Jay Sauntson, Cory Rudd, Matt Williams and Sam Carey pursuaded Andy Crowther to shuffle his pack, as Joe Clayton partenered top scorer Alex Dugmore at the back.
Droitwich were the better side in the first half, and despite some intricate passages of play, didn't trouble visiting goalkeeper Teddy Maggs as much as they would have liked.
Dugmore's header on 4 minutes from Josh Hurdman's corner narrowly missed the target before Moss's pinpoint through ball found Lemon but his shot was blocked by a last ditch sliding challenge by Tyrese Carter.
Maggs then saved a dipping effort from Hurdman and Charlie Tilley then forced him into a punched stop as Droitwich kept up the early pressure.
Joe Clayton came close to a first senior goal but his powerful drive was blocked, and Tilley saw an effort with the same outcome as Town threw bodies on the line to keep the score at 0-0 before a first effort of their own, when Towler saw a strike deflected off target.
The Saltmen responded in style when Hurdman latched on to a sumptuous through ball, getting there just ahead of the onrushing Maggs, he touched the ball to one side of the stranded 'keeper and in to an empty net to break the deadlock.
Tyler Dacres caused a constant threat down the left wing for Droitwich, but all too often some good build up play came to nothing as Town struggled in the final third.
The Saltmen created more opportunities courtesy of Hurdman and Jack Brighton, but nobody was on hand to turn home their low crosses.
The opening 20 minutes of the second half belonged to Chipping Sodbury, as the visitors enjoyed plenty of possession and created several chances; Rogerson parrying Owen Bell's effort out of play after a speculative effort from distance, however it was Spa who came closest to goal as a fine ball from half time substitute Danny Barnes found a stretching Lemon at the back post who slid in but couldn't quite guide the ball on target.
Town then deservedly equalised on the hour mark as Liam Towler's direct free kick from 25-yards beat Rogerson at the near post.
That goal sparked Droitwich back in to life to control the closing stages; Dugmore pounced on a loose ball a few yards out but placed his effort the wrong side of the post before Maggs saved well from Hurdman.
Spa re-took the lead with 10 minutes to play as Hurdman turned provider when his low cross to the back post was on a plate for Lemon to score his third of the season, on appearance number 301.
Droitwich continued to attack and Maggs saved well from Dugmore when bearing down on goal, but roles were reversed on 90 minutes as a poor goalkick from the Town stopper fell straight to Dugmore who raced clear and slid the ball under him to seal the points for Andy Crowther's side.
